Version 0.1

What is NIC?
------------

NIC is a web interface to a wide variety of network tools, written in
PHP and utilizing the Horde Application Framework.

This software is OSI Certified Open Source Software.
OSI Certified is a certification mark of the Open Source Initiative.

Release Documentation
---------------------

COPYING       - Copyright license
docs/CHANGES  - A list of changes by release
docs/INSTALL  - Installation instructions and notes
docs/CREDITS  - Who developed this

Installation
------------

Note: You must have the Horde package installed and configured
before you can install NIC. For more information, consult
the documentation in the Horde distribution.

All NIC installation documentation is located in the docs/ subdirectory. The
docs/INSTALL file currently contains everything relevant.

Need Help?
----------

If you run into problems during the installation, there are multiple
resources as your disposal. It is highly suggested that you consult them
in this order:

    1) The NIC documentation (located in the docs/ subdirectory).
    2) The online, user-editable FAQ, available at http://faq.horde.org/.
    3) The searchable mailing list archives, found at http://horde.tdyc.com/.
    4) The live mailing lists. More information at http://www.horde.org/mail/.

Failing to read the documentation before asking a simple question answered
therein will no doubt result in a less-than-welcome response from the mailing
lists. You've been warned. =)
